Highly integrated transmitting and receiving phased array with multi‐channels and high efficiency in K/ <scp>Ka‐band SatCom</scp> application

A highly integrated K/Ka-band phased array with duplexing channels for transmitting and dual circularly polarized receiving is presented. To increase both the efficiency channel isolation, a novel architecture proposed to integrate horn antenna, polarizer, ortho-mode transducer (OMT), filters within very compact radiating aperture as element. Based on this element, one large-scale 416 elements was developed, fabricated, measured. Experimental results show that has high of larger than 56% in channels, isolations 50 dB between different frequency 20 polarization channels. Furthermore, beam scanning performance ±20° ±18° at 30 GHz are achieved, respectively. The developed multifunctional an attractive feasible frontend K-/Ka- band SatCom system.
